Information provided in this membership form will be shared with Yachting New Zealand for the purposes of meeting this club's affiliation requirements to the national body as per the Yachting New Zealand Constitution.
This will allow Yachting New Zealand to send you your membership card and communicate with you (by post or electronically) in relation to your membership (e.g. by sending you emails about membership benefits and newsletters).

Our Website Privacy and Photography Policy

  • to enable us to use a newsletter programme to send you our newsletter.

3. Using Photographs on the website and  Social Media

From time to time the Thames Sailing Club would like to post photos on the website and Social media (Facebook). In most instances but not exclusively these photos may be of children involved in sailing activities. The purpose of the policy is to protect and safeguard children and young people and identify any breaches swiftly.

Parents/Caregivers will be asked to sign a consent form. Verbal consent alone will not be accepted under any circumstance. If parental/Caregiver consent is not given, we will inform members of those who are not to be photographed.

Images will focus on the activity, rather than individual children and young people where possible. Photographs will not be published on the website, print media or social media with the full name(s) of children and young people. First names only will be used where needed and no detailed personal information will be used.

The Club will inform children and young people on the day that photographs may be taken, the purpose of the photos and their right to not be photographed.

Images will be kept secure and not shared with any other person or organisation without the consent of the Parent or Caregiver.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
